Hand building taster sessions

These sessions run on the first Sunday morning of each month.

Join me for a calm, creative Sunday morning as you’re introduced to the foundations of hand built pottery. In this friendly taster session, you’ll learn two essential techniques: pinch pot making and slab building.

With gentle guidance, you’ll create your own pinch pot and choose to make either a mug, jug, or vase using simple slab techniques. This session is perfect for complete beginners or anyone wanting a peaceful, hands-on introduction to working with clay.

The Royal Oak Paint & Supper Night

About The Hillesley Potter

A bit about me

I’m Cindy, the creator behind The Hillesley Potter. Based in the Cotswold village of Hillesley, I create handmade pottery that blends beauty with practicality. Alongside my pottery, I run pottery classes and ceramic painting evenings (or afternoons), offering a welcoming space for anyone to discover or refine their creative skills.

My Design Philosophy

My design philosophy is centered around simplicity and functionality. I believe that ceramics should not only be beautiful, but also practical for everyday use.
